KS1 winner's profile

Adrianna Kelly, age 8 from St Anne's Primary School in Derry, is the deserving KS1 winner!

Laura Howell said:

"Adrianna's comic (right) is bursting with energy, and delivered a punchline that made me smile. Her accurate drawings of the characters show that she has a keen eye for detail, but she has also used her own cartooning knowledge to show a wide range of emotions – very important when you're telling a story. Adrianna is a true Sketching Star!"

Congratulations, Adrianna!

KS2 winner's profile

The KS2 winner is Sierra Kargbo, age 9 from Eastcourt Independent School in Ilford.

Laura said: "Sierra is clearly a very talented artist, but it takes more than that to make a really good comic. The real beauty of this strip (below) lies in the small details – the teacher's smashed Heart mug, the coffee spilled everywhere, the prison-like detention room. There's lots to see here, and I enjoyed looking at every bit. Sierra, you're a Sketching Star!"

Well done, Sierra!
