Year in the Classroom term two — terms and conditions
- Entries are open to all UK-based primary school pupils in Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2), submitted by a registered teacher or homeschooling parent/carer through the STAEDTLER Teachers’ Club.
- All entries must be submitted via a Teachers’ Club member account. Multiple classes from the same school can take part, but each must enter under a separate member account.
- Teachers may upload entries as they are completed or submit all entries together before the deadline for the term.
- The closing date for Term One is 11:59pm on Friday, 27 March, unless otherwise specified.
- Closing dates for the other terms will be specified when they begin.
- Late entries will not be accepted.
- The grand termly winner for Term Two will be announced in April 2026. For the purpose of the Grand Termly Prize for Term Two, a school trip is defined as 40 child and 8 adult admission tickets for the London Eye and London Eye River Cruise.
- The winning class must claim their prize by 11 December 2026. If the prize is not claimed by this date, the prize will be forfeited, and no longer eligible. Prize fulfilment will be organised by STAEDTLER Teachers’ Club in collaboration with the London Eye.
- Reasonable attempts will be made to contact the winning teacher. If the teacher of the winner does not respond within 7 days, STAEDTLER (UK) Ltd reserves the right to offer the position to a different entrant.
- The full batch of pupil entries received by STAEDTLER (UK) Ltd. will not be shared with any third parties and will be privately shortlisted by STAEDTLER (UK) Ltd.
- Shortlisted entries will be judged by STAEDTLER Teachers’ Club, STAEDTLER (UK) Ltd. and Merlin Entertainment (exclusive term two collaborator)
- Once the winners have been contacted, all non-shortlisted entries will be destroyed.
- Scanned entries of the shortlisted and winning designs may be shared on the Teachers’ Club website and social media channels, alongside the school name and the first name of the pupils in question with GDPR consent arranged via the school.
- Winning and shortlisted designs may also be shared by The London Eye and Merlin Entertainment’s on their official website and social media channels, displayed onsite at the attraction and shared in competition updates internally.
- Please ensure that photographs or scans taken of the entries and sent via the upload portal/email are of a high quality, as STAEDTLER will not be able to count illegible entries.
- All entries must be submitted by a teacher, unless the child is home schooled.
- Postal entries submitted without the Teacher’s Slip, or if delivered with unpaid postage fees, will be discounted.
