Sketching Stars 2024 Terms & Conditions

  1. The competition is open to teachers and teaching staff from Wales, Scotland, England and Northern Ireland. Any entries received from outside of the UK will not be eligible for entry, nor will the teachers who enter be eligible for a free stationery prize.  

  1. Every teacher who enters will receive a free stationery prize, up to a maximum of 500 teacher entrants. 

  1. Two winning pupils will be chosen (one from KS1 and one from KS2), who’ll each receive: a family day pass for Madame Tussauds London(2x adults and up to 3x children); a workshop for their class at their school with Madame Tussauds London on the figure creation process; a STAEDTLER stationery bundle for the classroom; a personal STAEDTLER stationery bundle and certificate. The family visit must be booked via Madame Tussauds London up to two weeks in advance and used no later than 28th February 2025.Travel and overnight accommodation is not includedThe classroom workshops must be arranged by their teacher via Madame Tussauds London with at least 4 weeks’ notice, to take place no later than 31st March 2025.   

  1. The teachers of the winning pupils (one teacher from KS1 and one teacher from KS2) will each receive a personal STAEDTLER stationery bundle and a Gold Merlin Annual Pass details of how to redeem the pass online will be shared with the two winners within two weeks of their acceptance of the prize.   1. The closing date for the competition is 11.59pm on Friday, 29 November 2024, unless otherwise specified. Entries received after this date will not be accepted. 

  1. The winners will be notified no later than13 December2024, unless otherwise specified. 

  1. The winners will be publicly announced no later than20December 2024, unless otherwise specified. 

  1. Reasonable attempts will be made to contact the winners. If the winners do not respond within 7 days, STAEDTLER UK reserves the right to offer the position to a different entrant. 

  1. The full batch of pupil entries received by STAEDTLER UK will not be shared with any third parties and will be privately shortlisted by STAEDTLER UK. 

  1. Images of shortlisted entries may be shared on STAEDTLER Teachers’ Club’s social media channels and website, with identifiable information removed unless permission to do so is overtly supplied by the teacher/school and parents. 

  1. Shortlisted entries will be judged by representatives from STAEDTLER Teachers’ Club, STAEDTLER UK and Merlin Entertainments. 

  1. The winning designs will be shared on the Teachers’ Club website and social media channels, alongside the school name and the first name of the pupils in question unless otherwise requested by the school. 

  1. More than one class can enter from one school, but teachers should enter separately (through individual Teachers’ Club membership accounts). 

  1. Competition entries should be scanned/photographed and submitted on email or sent to the PO box alongside the completed teachers’ form OR with information from the teachers’ form included in the covering email (teacher name, Teachers’ Club registered email address). Entries received without this information may be disregarded. 

  1. The providers of the prizes take no responsibility for any costs, expenses, loss or damage suffered by the Winning Entrant arising out of the use of the prize, except where it is caused by the negligence of the provider or that of its employees. Your statutory rights are not affected. 

  1. The prizes are non-refundable. The prizes cannot be exchanged for any other event or for any monetary value. 

  1. By entering the Competition, the participant agrees to be unconditionally bound by these terms and conditions. In the event of a discrepancy between these standard terms and conditions and the details in the promotional material, these terms shall prevail. 

  1. These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any disputes arising under these terms and conditions.
